Police have charged three men with fraud over the sale of fake dance party tickets for a weekend event.
Event organisers and buyers contacted NSW police after being sold fake tickets for the $135-a-head Midnight Mafia party at the Sydney Showground this Saturday.
The three 18-year-old men were arrested on Thursday in Surry Hills and will face Central Local Court on Friday
Tickets for the Midnight Mafia concert on Saturday have sold out and users have filled the events Facebook page with comments looking for spares to see the dance, trance and hard style DJs.
Despite event organisers, Harder Styles United, warning that fake tickets were circulating, many people fell for the forgeries.
One ticket buyer, Phuongie Bui, posted a message on Facebook about the fake yellow 'second release' tickets she was sold for $125.
